Hinaekian, of international reputation, with her mixed media paintings travelling round the world, in a dance of burned reds and ocean blues, declines creations entitled Carré Rouge, Sunburst, Souffle du désert or Terre Rouge. The dense coloured fields, structured in vivid stratums, invite to penetrate, but then reveal, as a defy, some enigmatic signs.
The watercolors of Jürg Schmutz, subtlety orchestrated, bring their poetic freshness to some close sites or located in the oceanic France, like Rolle, Le Château; Le Portalet, Trégastel. The artist, also known on the
international scene, - at the present time in France and Belgium -, will soon conquer Asia ; he is invited to show his works in Corea in October.
Charlotte Callens, whose universe altogether subtle and elaborated, fragile and determined, has left aside the mists of her native Flat Land, for sunny escapes or spaces plunging into the aestival waters. Her painted fields, at one time monochrome, at another time well constructed are named Heure d’été, Jaune mimosa or Premier Mai.
Thérèse Nègre, in a dialogue of marble and silica, playing the materials and the opposites, transparency and opacity, fluidity and sculpted sensual masses, to be transformed into Lame de Fond, Marée, Du fond des Abysses, translates, through the presence of glass, her fascination of water and sub-marine stretches.
The crossing of these different artistic eyes, creators of energy, strength, poetry, fineness, audacity, have as a common thread, water and its part of dream, an element defined by the philosopher Gaston Bachelard as : « the essential ontological metamorphosis between fire and earth ».
